Xprob

Cookie Policy

What's actually set on your device when you use Xprob — no generic boilerplate, this is the real list.

Why there's no cookie banner

Xprob doesn't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there's nothing that legally requires your consent before you can use the site. Everything below is either strictly necessary for the site to function, or doesn't use cookies at all. If that ever changes, this page — and a real consent banner — will change with it.

What's actually set

  • Session cookie (strictly necessary). When you log in, we set one cookie (authjs.session-token) that keeps you signed in. It's required for login to work at all — there's no way to opt out of it while staying signed in, since it is what "signed in" means. It's removed when you log out or expires automatically.
  • Theme preference — not a cookie. Whether you're using light or dark mode is remembered in your browser's local storage, not a cookie. It never leaves your device and we never see it.
  • Analytics — no cookie set. We use Vercel Analytics to understand overall site traffic. It's cookieless by design — it doesn't set any identifier on your device and can't track you across sites.

Payments

If you subscribe to Pro, Stripe (our payment processor) may set its own cookies during checkout as part of fraud prevention — these are set by Stripe directly, governed by Stripe's own cookie policy, not by us.

How to opt out

Since the only cookie we set ourselves is required for being logged in, the only "opt out" is not logging in — the free tier works fully without an account or any cookie at all. Any browser will also let you block or delete cookies directly (usually under Settings → Privacy); doing so for xprob.app will simply log you out.
